Temaiken Park
This park is fantastic! Although it's about an hour out of the city, it's world class in my opinion and worth making a trip out to Escobar either by taxi/remise service or by collectivo (bus). A treasure to be discovered for animal lovers here in Argentina.
People of all ages should visit this beautiful place.
At a short distance from the city you will find a very peaceful place with all kinds of animals in an environment carefully created for their survival, excellent clean, background music themes of nature, and very good meal shops.
Highly recommend this place for families and people in general.
Only 50 kilometers away from the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires lies Temaikèn Park. There, both grown-ups and children learn to respect biodiversity and preserve the environment through games. In this park, inaugurated in July 2001, everything has been carefully thought so as to manage a respectful interaction between human beings and wildlife. The environment is wild and soft lounge music may be heard in some areas, without altering the balance of the place.
Botanical Garden Buenos Aires (Free Entrance) - From Giorgio's House : Take the Bus number 55 in Acoyte then stop at Plaza Italia (About 22 minutes + 2 minutes walking )
Av. Santa Fe 3951.The Botanical Gardens are a short walk from the Plaza Italia metro station and are free to visit. There´s plenty of gardens and plants to see, as well as some interesting sculptures, and hundreds of cats - for some reason this garden is very popular with cats and you will see them everywhere. The garden, which was declared a national monument in 1996, has a total area of 69,772 m2, and holds around 5,500 species of plants, trees and shrubs, as well as a number of sculptures, monuments and 5 winter-houses.Designed by French-born Argentine architect and landscape designer Carlos Thays.
It has numerous statues, fountains, and approximately 7,000 species of plants and trees from all over the world.
Costanera Sur: From Giorgio's House : Take the Bus number 2 in Rosario Street (About 25 minutes )
The hustle and bustle of the Microcentro are lost in the cooling mood of the only ecological reserve in the city, the Reserva Ecologica Costanera Sur.
This reserve lies on the waterfront of the Rio Plata near downtown Buenos Aires. It is easy to access from all the important hotels in downtown Buenos Aires. In winter it is possible to count up to 80 species and this rises to 110 in summer.
This 865-acre (346-hectare) tract of low land is located on the Río de la Plata riverbank on the east side of the district of Puerto Madero in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is used heavily by cyclists, walkers, runners, and picnickers, but still provides adequate solitude to allow quiet bird observation and photography. Early morning is the best time to visit for birding, before the crowds arrive....Don't miss the CHORIPAN Sandwitches that you can eat on the street...cheap, good and absolutelly "local"! ;o)

Rivadavia Park (4 minutes walking from Giorgio's House )
Covering four city blocks, parque Rivadavia is a generous green space amidst an area that hives with porteño activity. While most tourists will be attracted to the range of greenery available in the Palermo area, Parque Rivadavia provides for a relaxing alternative with few other tourists in sight. As always the park is in honour of an Argentine political or military hero: this time Bernardino Rivadavia, Argentina’s first president. - Feria del Ombu in Rivadavia Park where people buy and sell old coins and stamps. You can get really some good deals.
