Giorgio's House is not just a Bed and Breakfast in the heart of Buenos Aires. Giorgio's House is also a way tro travel. We love to discover some new places and we love to talk to travellers like us. This is Giorgio's House Spirit. El Calafate is the village just before El Chalten and the Park of Los Glaciers. The Nature Reserve of Los Glaciers is spectacular and if you like the nature, it's something that you cannot miss!!! Al Calafater is a small village. Very touristic but really nice. A lot of accommodation places (but in the higest season - January mid February - it's better to book in advance) for any budget. 1 day to visit the Village, 1 day to visit the wonderful Perito Moreno Glacier and then, Los Glaciers Park. The Perito Moreno is something that you should see to understand. Several companies also organize hald fay and full day trekking on the Perito Moreno Glacier....or you can go and just see it!! Spectacular!!! When you arrive in Argentina, you can spend some beautiful days at Giorgio's House Bed and Breakfast Buenos Aires and then ask us all the advise to continue your visit to El Calafate and Perito Moreno! If you like Nature it's something great and if you like Trekking it's a Paradise.

 

EL CALAFATE

EL CALAFATE: From Puerto Natales, take the bus (20 US$). It takes around 5 hours. You can spend 2 days there. 1 day to visit the village and 1 day to visit Perito Moreno Glaciar (Absolutelly Fantastic!!). You can also hike. The most popular Ice Hiking Tour is: "The Big Ice". All the agencies sell this tour (50 US$). A bit expensive but really....touristic!! :o)

After Calafate you cannot miss El Chalten for a very beautiful hiking on the Los Glaciers Park (Free Entry). From El Calafate to El Chalten it takes around 4 hours. (Price return is 24 US$)
