Updated: 09 January, 2011 - the rate of taxis in the City of Buenos Aires rose by 26% because of the inflation. Multiplied queues of cars were seen trying to get to adapt their clocks to the new rate. The minimum fare is 5.80 pesos and the tab is 58 cents.
How to take the Taxi in Buenos Aires
Taking a Taxi is a fast way to get the points. but of course you also should consider the traffic. Taxi is good if you can't wait a little bit or if you go where the subte cannot go. Taking the taxi is easy. Hundreds taxis drive on the streets every day so...just get out and whait for 1 minute. Easier in the main streeets of course. Take ONLY the regular taxis. Check the taximeter is on and take with you the money changed or if you only have 100 pesos ask the taxi driver if he has some change. The Taxi ride starts with 4.60 pesos (updated on march 2010) and then each 300 meters the amount increase.

From Ezeiza Airport to the Center it costs about 140 pesos and it takes about 40 minutes...Much Cheaper from the City to the Airport if you take a normal taxi on the street cause there is much more competition in the city and you'll find some regular taxis anywhere.(about 80 pesos)
