February 14  - Departure from Capital Federal (Buenos Aires) for El Chocon (Neuquen Province) . H. 12.30 p.m. - Bus Company Andesmar . We bought the ticket 1 week in advance. Semi cama. The semi Cama is a seat which get down till 150°. Not too bad. The best should be 180 °, like a bed but it's more expensive so we decided to take the Semicama. The price for 1 person was 186 pesos.

February 15 - 09.10 a.m. Arrival at Villa El Chocon (21 hours). The bus stopped in the middle of nowhere... :o)  We started to walk to get the small Village (Villa El Chocon) 2.6 Km by walk and we got the center of the village. Villa El Chocon

February 16 - Wake up at 6.50 a.m. At 7.55 a.m. we are at the city bus stop to get the Omnibus stop 3 Km away.It had to pass at 8.20 a.m. but...NOTHING!!!...We asked to the few people on the street and nobody knew anything!...We wait till 8.33 a.m. (Omnibus was supposed to stop at 8.40 but they are always late - cost of the ticket 62 pesos) then we start to run with our backpacks to get the Omnibus stop (3 Km away) as soon as we can!! At 9.00 a.m. we got the omnibus stop but no bus!!...At 9.40 finally the Omnibus pass (Via Bariloche Company) but....it DIDN'T STOP!!!  We couldn't believe it!!  We run to the gasoline station and a kind woman phones to the Omnibus company (Via Bariloche). They cannot explain about what happened . We get back on the road and 30 minutes later another bus of the same company passes. We jump, move our arms, our feet and everything we could show and they finally stop...but thei say that they have no seats!!!!!...We insist and we show them our ticket and finally we could come in...and there were also some seats available.  - 14.30 (2.30 p.m.) we arrive to Bariloche

February 26 - Arrival to Salta

February 27 - Day trip to Cafayate with a hired car

February 28 - 10.30 a.m. departure for Tilcara (company Balut cost 46 pesos per each)  2.20 p.m. Arrival to Tilcara. Tilcara is a super turistic village. Very small and really not too much to do...not very beautiful so we decided to stay just 3 hours (enough) We decided to eat in a restaurant that we found in a French Guide (Routard)...This restaurant is called Altitud....wel...FORGET IT. Bad food and overpriced. The man welcomed us very well...inside a drunk man insulting us...but he was drunk so we didn't argue...and for a small piece of meat, 1 piece of tomato and 30 grams of rice and half liter of water I spent 45 pesos!!!! Routard guide is very bad for the South America...after several problems we had we decided to take it away just in case of emergency if for example we finished our toilet paper ;o)
After a small walk in Tilcara we took the bus for Purmamarca at 16.45 (Company Balut cost 2.5 pesos)

February 28 - 5.20 p.m. we arrived to Purmamarca. Touristic as well of course. 1 medialuna (a small croissant) was 1 pesos, in salta the same Medialuna cost was 0.65 pesos. Anyway the place is magic. Really beautiful We got a Guesthouse (it is in no guide but it's nice, anc cheap) double room with shared bathroom 70 pesos per night. We got our Diner at "Rincon" Live music that at the end was charged 10 pesos per each but it was not written outside! (SURPRISE!!) The food was ok.

February 29 - We went to the Salina Grande with 2 Argentinean fantastic friends we knew in Purmamarca Gustavo and his great wife. Gustavo is a good photographer too :o) Usually you go next to the square where you can take a Remis between 08.00 and 10.30 (Cost 40 pesos per person) 2 hours drive + 45 minutes to take some pictures....Of course with our new Friends it was much better and relaxing :o)) The Salt lake is wanderful but the way to get there is great as well. We went up till 4.200 mt and then "down" till the lake at 3.500 mt.......
