Trekking to the Refugio Lopez (Bariloche) - February/March 2010

The start of the trekking - GPS Coordinates: S41 05.056 W71 32.842 (832 mt)

17 February - Wake up at 7.00 a.m.. 8.10 a.m. Bus number 10 (In Bariloche) for Cerro Lopez. After about 1 hour 15 minutes. At the bus stop we saw a BIG Sign - Cerro Lopez to the left...well...it's a FAKE SIGN...there is a tour operator that get customer in this way!!!!!...We made 7 Km for nothing...anyway...we came back and then we got the right start point which is 3 minutes away from ther bus stop!!!
The trekking is very beautiful and the landscape is fantastic. 3.8 Km from the start point to the Refugio at 1.630 mt (If you cut and go straight) and 770 mt Ascent. We made it in 1 hour 50 minutes. To come back we took the longer way so we could change the view as well.

The View is wonderful...You can see the famous 7 lakes...So peaceful, relaxing and beautiful. The Straight Ascent is Moderate level...if you take the longer way it's easier.
