Chile Patagonia - Chile Chico
From El Calafate I continued my travel in Patagonia going up to Chile Chico. Chile Chico (Spanish for Little Chile) is a town in Aisén Region, Patagonia, Chile. It is located on the south shore of General Carrera Lake. Chile Chico is a very small village (of course ;o) The Chie side of the Patagonia is much more expensive than the Argentine side. I spent only 1 day and 1 night there so to save money I decided to camp with my thent. There are several people that rent some open spaces where you can put your tent and where you can have a bathroom as well so, not too bad.
The village is very simple and next to the Lake Buenos Aires. There is not too much to do but you can have a nice relaxing day, talking to people, taking some pictures and waiting for the next day sit with a sandwich and taking the sun. There is only 1 bout that goes to the other side (Balmaceda) so, don't miss it. The travel on the lakes is really beautiful and.....windy.
