My stay at the Giorgio House was amazing. It does not feel like a hostel at all. You are basically living in an apartment that is furnished well, with charming lamps and lighting. The rooms are kept impeccably clean and you live in a great area of buenos aires near the A subway station and a cabs ride away from everything. I have no complaints, those that run the hostel are warm and friendly and will do their best to make your stay a success!

...Giorgio's House Buenos aires was a great experience. The location is super!!!...In a beautiful area. (Caballito, where Giorgio's House is, is great!...much better than Recoleta where I spent my first day!!) In front of the Cinema Village. Just next to the park and the underground line!!! A lot of pubs and Restaurants....The house is super nice...everything in wood...We felt in the mountains even if we were in the centre of Buenos aires!!!! :o) Free Wifi Internet everywhere in that area and in Giorgio's House as well. A great experience...we'll come back for sure!!!!!!

From the very moment we got to Giorgio's House, I felt right at home. From Irina and Anastacia's willingness to fight the language barrier and explain everything, to the excellent views from the three patios in the house, there was never a time I felt out of place. Caballito is in a perfect location for someone that wants to be centrally located to the many different areas this spread out city possesses. The people of Caballito were especially helpful in trying to explain directions and things that this "gringo" couldn't figure out. The subway, or Subte to be a true porteno, is only a block away. Numerous places to have a quick coffee or full meal were located within 2 blocks of the place. All in all, I had a great week in Buenos Aires and it had a lot to do with my living accomadations. Thanks Irina and Anastacia!!!---Jay M

We enjoyed Giorgio’s House in Buenos Aires for 5 days at the end of our Argentina holiday and it was the most relaxing, refreshing and rewarding experience! It had just opened before our stay and all beds, furniture, bathroom, pillows etc. are brand new, which also means the mattress was perfect. You take a beautifully designed lift to the apartment on the top floor, which has wonderful high ceilings and there is a lot of woodwork everywhere. The decoration is tastefully chosen, very typical for Argentina and adds a very nice touch. The rooms have character, are large and have plenty of storage. I felt like walking in a large house with corridors, balconies and a lot of air and space. I found many nice pictures listed on his own site. It’s located in a safe area and it’s absolutely fine to walk around at night, such as coming back from a late restaurant trip or getting some last bites from the large supermarket nearby. The underground/subte station is literally outside the house and the A line takes you to the building in a few minutes from anywhere in the city. It’s also my absolute favourite subte (underground) line – check out the all-wood carriages, the little lamps and leather handles! I liked the location very much - very refreshing in a typical Buenos Aires area for locals with shopping centers, little shops, park, supermarkets, restaurants and bars, gyms and International post office, cinemas and ice cafes all over the place! When you check-in ask for directions to the all-you-can-eat buffet (5 mins walk around the corner). A fine restaurant with fresh grill/cooking stations and a fantastic selection for AR$40! When we stayed in for dinner (the “Disco” supermarkets are large and very cheap) the new TV/DVD combo was super useful and we even had breakfast on the sunny terrace/balcony! After a day out it was wonderful to come “home” again. We would have loved to stay longer in Giorgio’s House and hope to go back very soon!

If you are going to Buenos Aires, stay here! The location and price of this place can not be beat. In this neighborhood you will see a real area of Buenos Aires, sans tourists. There is also a grocery store and internet cafe (US$ .30 for 15 minutes) close. Also, the hosts, Irina and Ana, try their hardest to make you comfortable and that you enjoy your stay in Buenos Aires! Just as an example: After a long day of exploring the city, we came home to find that Ana and Irina had ordered some empanadas (my fav) for delivery. They called to change their order and wouldn't even let us pay for our share! They stock maps and other brochures and if you need help planning a trip they are more than happy to give you a hand. If I go back to BA (which I want to) I would stay here again...

I just got back from a long weekend in Buenos Aires (my first visit) and I can't wait to return again soon. Giorgio's House is a fantastic reprieve from the typical tourist/hotel experience. The pictures on their website do a great job of showing what the place looks like but are not able to convey the warmth and cozy hospitality that you get when you stay here. For a very reasonable price, you have the convenience of being in your own place (with roommates of course since this is 4-bedroom /2 bathroom apt - but no worries since each bedroom has its own lock). You also have all other rooms that come in a normal apartment set up (i.e. kitchen, living room, dining room and 3 patios).Giorgio's House is in a great location. Although not located in the center of town (thank goodness!), you're not too far away from there because a short walk to the corner will take you to the subway (Line A) which can get you to the city center (or other areas) in a short amount of time. Buses also are close by and run regularly, providing another very inexpensive transportation option. And of course, there are always cabs which usually cost $3-$6 depending on how far you're traveling. The staff, Irina & Anastasia, are truly wonderful and go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and feel like a friend staying in their home. Although they do have "day-jobs" and their own personal lives, if they have the time you might be able to get them to show you some of the sights either in the local area or around town. These ladies are a lot of fun and have a true love/passion for their beautiful city. They also give great advice on things to see and do so that you get a more authentic B.A. experience. Giorgio's House - B.A. is relatively new (they opened in March 08). Right now, it is still one of the best kept secrets in town, but once the word gets out, people will have to queue to get a reservation at this place. I'd definitely consider it to be my home away from home when staying in this city. If you're planning a trip soon and want a true B.A. experience, look no further than here.

We just returned from staying at Giorgio's House in BA, it was a wonderful experience! There was six of us in total, 3 couples. We each had our own bedroom and shared two bathrooms. Ana and Irina were so accomadating and welcoming to us foreigners. They showed us around the neighborhood and made sure we knew where the important places were at. Ana offered to take us for Tango lessons and to see the city. This is a fantastic value stay, in a safe neighborhood. I would recommend this apartment highly. I was apprehensive at first to share the apartment with someone else we didn't know, but it turned out great and we rarely/almost never bumped into each other
The Spirit of Giorgio's House is to be....Friends first of all.  :o)
