Basically echoing the sentiments of everyone else who reviewed Giorgio's House. Ana and Irina are very friendly and helpful in suggesting places to go and things to do. The flat is 1 min from the Subte which gets you anywhere you need to go, cheap. Two cinemas and tonnes of shops and bars nearby. The rooms themselves are immaculate and spacious. Lovely small touches like a welcome pack tied with twine and a flower and replete with chocolates!

Just returned from Buenos Aires where I stayed in the most incredible guest house. I am a frequent worldwide traveler, and believed that I had experienced hospitality in other places. However, nothing has ever been close to the experience at Giorgio's House. This beautiful gem is tucked away on the top floor of a very safe Buenos Aires neighborhood. A few steps to the Subte and extensive bus network making it only 10 - 15 minutes away from the main attractions of this fabulous city. The generous size rooms are bright and airy. Although I was not exactly thrilled about sharing a bathroom, this was so insignificant that while I was there, I didn't give it a second thought. The manager of Giorgio's House ensured an experience that will never be forgotten. Highly recommended for solo travelers.

An absolute great find in the city of Buenos Aires. We stayed at GH in May for ten days. It looked exactly like the photos on the website. We definitely weren't disappointed in any way.The House's managers, Ana and Irina, are able to answer any question that you might have and even some you didn't know you had. Plenty of restaurants and pubs within walking distance. A grocery store and movie theater also within a few blocks. Subway outside the front door.I would recommend this accomadation and area of the city. We were two woman travelling alone and never felt unsafe. On my next trip to BA, I will definitely stay here again. This place would be ideal for a large group that could rent out the whole apartment.

Choosing to stay at Giorgio's was probably one of the best accommodation decisions I have ever made, having traveled extensively around the world. The rooms look exactly as they are portrayed in the hotel's photos. Check them out at http://buenosaires.giorgioshouse.com/. Ana is the best hotel manager that an English-speaking tourist can ever hope for. She speaks good English, she knows all the must-see places in B.A. and recommends them enthusiastically, she is full of initiative, caring and extremely helpful (even when she is suffering from a bad toothache and her face is all swollen on one side). On top of that, she was a friend to me when I was unexpectedly stranded in B.A. I did not have much opportunity to interact with Irina - Ana's sister, but from our limited contact, I think she'll be just like her sister!Another enjoyable aspect of staying at Giorgio's is the homely feeling of the place. Everybody staying there knows everyone else as the place is so small. I am truly glad to have met and befriended the other guests staying at Giorgio's while I was there. Also, I think that the price and location of Giorgio's is excellent. Overall, after having stayed there for 6 nights, I have no complaints and only praises for Giorgio's House and its wonderful manager.

I stayed in a double room at Giorgio's House for one week, sharing with a friend. Giorgio's House is excellent for the following reasons: location, design, and people.1) Location: This property is proximal to conveniences, most importantly the Subte (makes a good base to explore from). Riding the Subte everyday gave us time to prep, wind down, and see Argentines on their way to work, school, fun, etc. Further, I think the Caballito neighborhood's status as an "outer barrio" is a definite plus. It seemed like a lower/middle class neighborhood with few tourists, thus feeling a bit more Argentinian, not "dressed up", and more affordable. We just felt like normal citizens, which is how I like it.2) Design: The house felt like a well-cared home. It looks just like the pictures on the website. Flooring is earthen tiles, wood furniture, high beamed ceilings, a good sense of color and design throughout. A house you walk into and feel safe and at home. There is also heating for the winter, hooray!3) People: Anastasia and Irina were both excellent hosts. Always welcoming, cheerful, inquiring of our experiences in BA, full of tips for the next day. They even organized some outings for us and accompanied us there so we would not get lost (literally and socially), just because they are awesome. It was clear that they love their city, and that's the best kind of host to have!In conclusion, *awesome*. The guesthouse experience is more comfortable and grown-up than a hostel, but not impersonal like a big hotel. Best of all worlds.

Great value for BA. The owners are very nice and allow you to see a unique perspective of the city from people who grew up there. Having access to the kitchen is nice and helps to save money on eating out. The rooms are nice. One room off the main living room is affected by mechanical noise from the elevator. I would recommend staying in one of the three rooms off the back of the apartment rather than the one room off the living room.Close to the subte, but not many sights close to the hotel. We ended up taking taxis most nights. Fortunately, BA has ample and cheap taxi service.

I have never experienced such great hospitality from any where I have traveled. But the sisters who managed the property were exceptional. The property is like a flat, you can really feel like at home. It has balconies, clean kitchen and bathrooms, living room, and dinning room. The rooms are exactly like in the pictures -- clean, comfortable, private, and plenty of characters. The property is near the street. Sometimes can be noisy. Laundry, transportation, market, shopping, cinema, banks, and park are all near by. Breakfast is never boring. Sample many different kinds of Argentinean pastries at breakfast was fun. Ask Ana for places or school for tango or salsa or rock n' roll. She has lots of information.

What can I write that has not already been written? When doing research I thought that the reviews were too good to be true but then again, I'm on TripAdvisor. With experience I can say this is about my best foreign lodging experience ever, so much so that when I return to Bs As, this is the only place I want to stay! Ditch the predictable touristy spots and stay in Ana's home - it's safe (it takes 3 locks, a lift and 7 floors to get to her place), clean, decorated beautifully with organic elements and centrally located to everything and everywhere. It's not sterile like most hotels and she's "The hostess with the mostest"... not only can she give you the best advice as to what to see and how to get there (touristy spots if you like, and the hidden gems of the city), she'll even introduce you to her favorite local "parilla sucia" and give you free education on the history of the city, the language, its people and of course, tango. You're in store for lively, intellectual conversation with the gracious and knowledgeable former tour guide. I felt totally immersed in what Buenos Aires IS...passion, not lust... a liveliness for life. The icing on the cake is the reasonable price. Here, for the length of your stay you can "be a porteño" instead of the obvious tourist.

Highly recommended for a stay in Buenos Aires. The managers made us feel like we were staying with dear friends. We shared many enlightening conversations about Argentina and they were very helpful in giving information on sights, things to do etc.The apartment is different from staying in a hotel, but it is cosy and comfortable. We liked the nieghbourhood a lot - it was very lively, lots of shops and things to do around and very local and authentic,so you get a real flavour of living in BA. But it's still close and convenient to the downtown city area (just ten minutes or so on the metro). We would stay here again if we return to BA.

Hi everybody! My name is Gábor Margés, 28 years old and I`am from the Netherlands. I came to BA to set up a new business unit for Class Adventure Travel. On forehand I looked for apartments but finally decided not to do that, there are better options! I wanted to integrate in the Argentinian culture quicker and there are cheaper options as well. After spitting the internet I ended up with Giorgios House. It`s a very cozy and friendly place with an even friendlier hostess named Anastasia. She tries to help you with every question you come up with! She is willing to show you all the ins and outs of Buenos Aires and besides that she likes to party as well. Perfect combination I would say. The apartment is wel situated close to all necessary facilities. It`s a need apartment block with four rooms, three different patios, two shared bathrooms, a shared kitchen and a living room. All amenities are available. It`s good for short or long stay! Like myself, I stayed there in the beginning of September and from October 16th untill tomorrow.Ana, thanks for everything and we`ll keep in contact!!Gábor
