BUENOS AIRES: Driving Buenos Aires

Driving Miss Buenos Aires
Visitar la Ciudad de Buenos Aires tiene su alta adrenalina si uno es peatón o si conduce un auto.
A diferencia de Uruguay, aquí cruzar una calle significa:
a- Pararse en la esquina sobre la vereda y no en la calle.
b- Mirar durante dos minutos en dirección al tránsito y observar el color del semáforo.
c- Una vez el semáforo en rojo para los vehículos, volver a mirar a los vehículos y asegurarse que estén detenidos.
d- Volver a mirar el resto de las calles, buscando alguna moto o bicicleta distraída que no quiera respetar el rojo de la luz.
e- Ahora si, quizás puedas cruzar la calle... eh eh !!
Si bien este relato es un poco una broma, también es un poco verdad.
Los peatones deben mirar a ambos lados antes de cruzar las calles porque los vehículos siempre irán primero.
Giorgio ha relatado la experiencia de conducir en Palermo y la Ciudad de Buenos Aires no es la excepción...La ciudad de Buenos Aires, más especificamente el famoso Microcentro Financiero y Centro de la ciudad, es muy similar a Palermo a la hora de conducir tu auto.
Por suerte, la ciudad de Buenos Aires ofrece a los visitantes extranjeros y ciudadanos locales colectivos, subterráneos y taxis para unir las distancias desde el Este al Oeste y desde el Norte al Sur, ya que el Microcentro Financiero y el Centro de la Ciudad es mejor conocerlo caminando. ;o)
To visit the City of Buenos Aires your high adrenaline has if one is a pedestrian or drive a car.
Unlike Uruguay, here to cross a street means:
A - To stop in the corner on the path and not in the street.
B - To look during two minutes the traffic and to observe the color of the semaphore.
C - Once the semaphore in red for the cars, to return to look at the cars and to assure that they are really stop.
D - To return to look at the rest of the streets, looking for some motorcycle or absent-minded bicycle that does not want to respect the red one of the light.
E - Now, probably you could cross the street ... eh eh!! ;o)
Though this statement is a bit a joke, also it is true.
The pedestrians must look at both sides before crossing the streets because the vehicles always will go first.
Giorgio has reported the experience of driving in Palermo, Buenos Aires is not the exception... The city of Buenos Aires, more specifically the famous Financial Microcenter and Center of the city, is very similar to Palermo at the moment of leading your car.
Thankfully, the city of Buenos Aires offers to the foreign visitors and local citizens buses, underground places and taxis to join the distances from the East in the western part and from the North in the southern part, since the Financial Microcenter and the Center of the City is better to know it walking. ;o)
